FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR SOUTHWESTERN CALIFORNIA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE LOS ANGELES/OXNARD CA
 240 PM PST TUE MAR 3 2015

...WARM AND VERY DRY WEATHER RETURNS THROUGH THE WEEKEND...

.DISCUSSION...A RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE OVER THE EASTERN PACIFIC
OCEAN WILL BUILD ACROSS CALIFORNIA THROUGH THE WEEK. A WEAK
SUNDOWNER IS EXPECTED THIS EVENING FOR THE SANTA BARBARA SOUTH
COAST CANYONS AND PASSES WITH GUSTY NORTH TO NORTHEAST WINDS FROM
GAVIOTA TO MONTECITO REMAINING JUST BELOW ADVISORY LEVEL. LOWER
HUMIDITY IS LIKELY IN THESE AREAS OVERNIGHT. GENERAL OFFSHORE
WINDS...MUCH LOWER HUMIDITIES AND WARMER TEMPERATURES ARE EXPECTED
 WEDNESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY.

MANY AREAS OF VENTURA AND LOS ANGELES COUNTIES WILL SEE HUMIDITIES
DROPPING INTO THE TEENS EACH DAY THIS WEEK WITH ISOLATED SINGLE
DIGIT VALUES IN THE MOUNTAINS AND SANTA CLARITA VALLEY. TEMPERATURES
WELL INTO THE UPPER 70S AND 80S ARE EXPECTED THURSDAY THROUGH
SUNDAY ACROSS VALLEYS AND COASTAL REGIONS DUE TO THE OFFSHORE
FLOW. IN ADDITION...EXPECT POOR OVERNIGHT HUMIDITY RECOVERIES IN
THE FOOTHILLS AND MOUNTAINS EACH NIGHT.

THE HIGH PRESSURE RIDGE WILL START TO BREAK DOWN AND MOVE EASTWARD
EARLY NEXT WEEK BRINGING HIGHER HUMIDITIES AND COOLER
TEMPERATURES TO THE REGION. IT STILL LOOKS PROMISING FOR ADDITIONAL
RAIN ACROSS THE DISTRICT LATER NEXT WEEK.
