A large westerly swell will move into the coastal waters today, generating high surf conditions along west and northwest facing beaches through Friday afternoon. Along the Central Coast, breakers between 11 and 14 feet can be expected with local breakers to 16 feet. Along the beaches of Ventura and Los Angeles counties, breakers between 7 to 10 feet can be expected with local breakers to 12 feet. Dangerous rip currents can be expected near shore along with the possibility of minor tidal overflow during high tide. (click for more)
