2009 Winter Weather Spotter Training Schedule
The National Weather Service will be holding classes for those interested in becoming Severe Weather Spotters.
A variety of topics will be covered including: an explanation of the winter storms affecting the area, weather safety tips, how to measure precipitation using a rain gage, and how and when a weather spotter reports to the NWS. There is no cost for this class and those attending who do not have a rain gage will receive a free one.
All members of the general public are invited to attend and the NWS will be recruiting new weather spotters. There is no cost for this class. If you have questions about this volunteer program, please contact Ryan Sandler at the NWS in Medford at (541) 776-4303 or email ryan.sandler@noaa.gov.

On Tuesday, November 24th, Mike Petrucelli from the National Weather Service (NWS) office in Medford will present a winter weather spotter training class. This class will be held between 6:00 and 7:30 pm in room 214 of the Klamath County Government Center located at 305 Main Street in Klamath Falls which is across from the Courthouse.
