July 2007 Records

July 2007 was a record setting month in terms of temperatures and precipitation across western Montana and north central Idaho.  Just about every observation location in Western Montana experienced both the hottest July on record, as well as the warmest month on record.  Precipitation wise, much of the region was well below normal.  Below follows a summary of records for the month of July in Butte, Kalispell, and Missoula, as well as a summary of how high above normal temperatures really were in various locations across the region.
