The strongest subsidence (indicated by bright red shading) associted with the short wave can be identified in the Water Vapor Imagery moving through northeast Washington. The sharpest drying (located just east of the white square) is apparent spreading southeast. The drying reaches a peak over Spokane and Coeur D'Alene around 2030 UTC and persist through 2130 UTC. The sharpest drying coincides with the strongest wind gusts reported over the area.
