A potent Pacific system will push through the area today. Snow will spread west to east across Idaho this morning while southwest winds increase. Winter Storm Warnings and Winter Weather Advisories are in effect for the higher elevation areas of Eastern Idaho. Up to 10 inches of snow is possible through tonight in the Sawtooth and Wood River areas with up to 6 inches possible in the Southern Highlands, Eastern Highlands, and Lost River areas. Lesser amounts will fall in the valleys of these regions. Gusty winds combined with snow will cause occasional low visibility conditions and areas of drifting snow. (click for more)
