A cold front swept across the northern Willamette valley on the afternoon of Tuesday, December 29th, 2009. This storm dropped a crippling 2 to 7 inches of snow across the Portland metro area. The onset of snow was perfectly timed for rush hour, exacerbating its' effects. The following is a summary of some of the snowfall amounts recorded.
