Broad trough of low pressure moving through the Western United States Friday will support the following impacts and changes to the weather for the Southwest region: First, increased winds, coupled with already dry fuels and high fire danger will result in Hazardous Fire Weather conditions for the high terrain northeast and east of Phoenix, including Southern Gila County Friday. Second, winds will increase through the day from the southwest, possibly gusting up 25 to 35 mph at their strongest. Third, afternoon temperatures will cool from their well above average readings earlier in the week, with the lower Deserts seeing temps in the Upper 90s and Low 80s for the Higher Terrain.
