The next Pacific low pressure system is forecast to move into AZ on Tuesday. This will be a stronger and colder storm with a chance of showers area-wide. However the best chance of showers will develop between Flagstaff and Phoenix eastward. Chances for rain in the Phoenix area will exceed 50 percent on Tuesday. Snow levels will fall from 5500 feet Tuesday morning to between 4000-4500 feet by Tuesday evening. Although this is a stronger and colder storm...relatively low moisture levels will accompany the system...so snow amounts will be light...perhaps 1 to 2 inches above 5000 feet in southern Gila County. High temperatures over the cooler deserts will fall into the mid 50s to near 60 Tuesday.
