Know the Weather Where You Are Going...
Traveling this weekend? Get the forecast for your travel origination, destination, and points along the way with
information from the National Weather Service. There are several different ways to get a seven day forecast for
any location in the United States.
For graphical forecasts, check out the National Digital
Forecast Database (NDFD). The NDFD will graphically display forecast parameters including high and low temperatures, probability
of precipitation, expected weather, winds, and more for the entire United States. You can click on the map to "drill-down" to the
regional level, then state, and finally your local area.
Want to explore your options? Head to Weather.gov, the main page of the National
Weather Service. From there, click anywhere on the map of the United States. This will lead you to a local NWS forecast office and
a second, more detailed, regional map. Click anywhere on the second map to get a pin-point seven day forecast.
Know exactly where you want a forecast for? You can enter the city and state in the box to the right and click "submit" to get a
seven day forecast. This box is also available in the top-left corner of all the NWS Web pages.
