A - "7 Day Area Forecast" - This is the forecast for an area that includes the point on the map that was clicked.   This is not a "point" forecast.   Conditions will typically be for a range of values representative of that area.   A description of the area and the time of issuance are near the top of this section.   Links to any weather watches, warnings, or advisories in effect for this area are at the very top of this section in red.

A - "7 Day Point Forecast" - If you click on a point on the map in Section C, "Detailed Point Forecast", you'll obtain a "point" forecast for a small area (1.5 miles by 1.5 miles) near the location selected on the map.   The header bar for this section will change from "7 Day Area Forecast" to "7 Day Point Forecast".   As with the "7 Day Area Forecast", the location and the time of issuance are near the top of this section.   Links to any weather watches, warnings, or advisories in effect for this area are at the very top of this section in red.

B - "Forecast at a Glance" - This is a "point" forecast for a small area near the location specified in green near the upper left portion of this section.   This forecast is not necessarily representative of your location, even if you are in the same general area as this "point" location.   Values for high and low temperature will be a single value, though locations near this "point" could easily be a few degrees warmer or cooler. 

The "weather" in the icons is also for a small area near the location specified in green near the upper left portion of this section.   If the there is no significant weather, the icon will indicate average sky conditions for each 12-hour daytime or nighttime period.   If there is significant weather, the icon will generally show the most significant weather for each 12-hour daytime or nighttime period.   This may appear overly pessimistic at times, especially if the indicated weather is only expected for a portion of the 12-hour period.

C - "Detailed Point Forecast"- If you click on this map, you will get a "point" forecast for a small area (1.5 miles by 1.5 miles) near the point where you clicked.   This is not an average forecast for a larger area. The "7 Day Area Forecast" (Section A) becomes the"7 Day Point Forecast" (Section A).  The "Forecast at a Glance" (Section B) now becomes a forecast for the "point" you selected on the smaller thumbnail map.

D - "Current Conditions" - This is the latest weather report for a representative location in the forecast area that was selected by clicking on the map.   This is not necessarily the report nearest to the point selected.

E - "More Local Wx:" - This is a link to additional weather reports in the forecast area selected by clicking on the map.   One or more of these reports may be closer or more representative of the weather in your location than the default location under "Current Conditions".

F - "Additional Forecasts and Information"- This section contains links for additional information such as for a forecast discussion, observed rainfall, or a zoomed-in visible satellite image.

G - "Radar and Satellite Images"- This section constains a link to the nearest radar and to an infrared satellite image.
