A low pressure trough will deepen over the West coast through Friday. This synoptic pattern will increase the pressure gradients... strengthening the wind over the mountains and deserts. West and southwest winds will increase to 20 to 35 mph with gusts to 50 mph with possible gusts to 70 mph Friday afternoon in some of the wind prone areas. This will make driving difficult for high profile vehicles. Winds will decrease in intensity Saturday morning. (click for more)
