- October 1991 Oakland Hills Fire: 25 dead, 150 injured, 1.7 billion
in economic losses.
- January 1913 Freeze: Temperatures dropped to 10 degrees F in
some areas, Coldest nights ever record in the state. Losses

- 1997 New Years Flood: 8 dead, 23,000 homes destroyed,
1.8 billion in economic losses.
- March 1964 Tsunami Flooding: 14 dead, 16 million in economic
losses just in Del Norte County, several north coast towns completely wiped out.
- October 1993 Firestorms: 4 dead, 162 injured, 1 billion in economic losses, Santa Ana winds
helped fuel multiple fires in Southern California.
- March 1907 and January 1909 Floods: Significant flooding on all
major rivers in the Sacramento Valley. 300,000 acres were flooded.
