.DISCUSSION...AN UPPER LEVEL TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE WILL EXIT INTO
THE GREAT BASIN TODAY. IN ITS WAKE...ISOLATED TO SCATTERED SHOWERS
AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL OCCUR OVER THE MOUNTAINS AND POSSIBLY AS FAR
WEST AS THE EASTERN THIRD OF THE SAN JOAQUIN VALLEY INTO EARLY THIS
EVENING. A COLD FRONT WILL MOVE SOUTHWARD ACROSS THE DISTRICT WITH
ADDITIONAL SHOWERS LATE TONIGHT INTO SATURDAY MORNING. ISOLATED
THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE IN THE POST FRONTAL ENVIRONMENT SATURDAY
AFTERNOON INTO SATURDAY EVENING. A MUCH DRIER AIR MASS WILL MOVE
INTO THE DISTRICT SUNDAY. STRONG GUSTY WINDS WILL OCCUR THROUGH AND
BELOW THE KERN COUNTY MOUNTAIN PASSES THROUGH SATURDAY EVENING.
