Tropical

| Satellite
imagery and surface observations indicated that the decaying circulation
center from Tropical Storm Hyacinth probably made it into southeast Arizona
before dissipating over Cochise County. Because Hyacinth was never a strong
storm, the decaying depression probably would have dissipated before arriving
in southeast Arizona had it not been for its rapid northward movement at
over 20 mph. The rapid movement kept rainfalls limited with spotty one to
two inch amounts over Cochise County. Y Lightning Ranch south of Sierra
Vista, AZ reported 2.30 inches of rain. |
