WR Satellite front-end changes on Feb 28, 2011
Greetings:
We appreciate your valuable feedback(s)
and we want to encourage you to continue
to contribute to improving our web pages.
You may notice new changes on pages like:
http://sat.wrh.noaa.gov/satellite/loopsat.php?wfo=pqr&area=west&type=vis&size=1
From pages like: http://www.wrh.noaa.gov/satellite/?wfo=pqr
Here is the reason behind code changes:
We are moving forward with code changes,
as it enables us to move away from older
Java underlying Codes that are no longer supported.
Additionally, the changes would also allow mobile devices
that are unable to work with Java, to be able to
have access to the satellite images, through their devices.
The changes will be tweaked some more this week.
I have added a refresh button/link to the page.
You could continue sending your questions, concerns, and
comments directly to w-wrh.webmaster@noaa.gov as well.
Respectfully,
On behalf of the The Web Team.
PS: The loop speeds are easily adjustable, with the 'slider' or
scroll-bar placed right above the button labeled "Forward".
To use the zoom-in feature, use your browser's keyboard capabilities:
<ctrl><+> to zoom in
<ctrl><-> to zoom out
Note: CTRL ± method affects all future tabs and windows until reset.
