.Synopsis for the Central California Coast and Bays Including
the Monterey Bay...Greater Farallones...and Cordell Bank
National Marine Sanctuaries...
Sunday morning and into the early afternoon is expected to have
light winds over much of the waters with stronger northerly winds
over the northern outer waters. By late Sunday afternoon and into
Sunday evening, winds will shift to the northeast with stronger
gusts. Gale force gusts are expected through the evening and into
Monday morning, particularly for the San Francisco Bays and
through the Delta as well as the Sonoma coastline, Bodega Bay,
through the Golden Gate and down the San Mateo coast to Pigeon
Point. Winds will gradually diminish late Monday morning. These
winds can create hazardous seas particularly for smaller vessels.
Seas will remain mixed with a moderate northwest swell and a
longer period southerly swell.
